Eligibility Criteria for Admission (in 1st Year)

i) Through Counselling Quota (75% of Approved Intake)

Students will be allotted by West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development
according to counselling on the basis of Rank of the entrance examination for Polytechnics (JEXPO).

Subjects Examined: Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry (Total Marks: 100)

Eligibility: Candidates must have passed or appeared* in the 10th standard examination from a recognized board. Mathematics, Physical Science, and English are compulsory subjects, and the candidate must secure pass marks in all three subjects as per the rules of their respective secondary education board. There is no minimum aggregate percentage requirement for eligibility.

* Subject to submission of original mark sheet / pass certificate at the time of admission.

ii) Through Management Quota (Direct Admission) (25% of Approved Intake)
(*as per last year’s admission notification)

Eligibility: Passed / Appeared* 10th standard with at least 35% marks in aggregate without the marks of additional subject
(without rounding up**). Mathematics, Physical Science and English are mandatory subjects and the candidate must acquire at least
pass marks in all three subjects as per his/her secondary board.

* Subject to submission of original mark sheet / pass certificate at the time of admission.
** Without rounding up: any shortfall of marks will render the candidate ineligible (e.g. 34.99% is not considered 35%).
